by William Shakespeare
directed by Val Foskett
Tuesday 25 November – Saturday 29 November
Rosalind is a girl. Disguised as a boy called Ganymede. Pretending to be a girl called Rosalind…. So that the man she loves, Orlando, can practise wooing Rosalind (whom he thinks is Ganymede). Orlando loves Rosalind (but thinks she’s a boy called Ganymede). Phoebe loves Ganymede (not knowing she’s a girl called Rosalind). Freud would have had a field day with this! Throw in a clown, some music and wrestling – not to mention some of the most profound and beautiful love talk in the history of the stage – And that’s As You Like It!
